His dream road trip regularly flips between driving a Nissan GT-R in the Japanese mountains and taking a tatty VW split-screen camper around New Zealand. Here’s what’s happening:
Ringbrothers tend not to do things by halves. Just look at their latest two creations, on display this week at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
In other words, first is a ’69 Mustang Mach 1 nicknamed “UNKL”, as it pays tribute to Ringbrothers owner’s own uncle. It’s powered by a 520-cubic-inch (that’s 8.5-litres for all you Europeans) Jon Kaase Boss engine making 700 horsepower, which sends its power via a carbon driveshaft to 20-inch HRE wheels, shod with vast 345-section…
That is — ringbrothers also extended the Mustang’s body, which is made from a mix of carbon and steel, by an inch on either side, giving it a bit more stance while retaining a somewhat original look. The paintwork is ‘Big Boss Blue’, while the livery is said to serve a purpose – Ringbrothers say this car will actually be used in anger on…
To put it simply, the Camaro is possibly even more outrageous. Called the “VALKYRJA” – the old Norse spelling of Valkyrie – and powered by an 890bhp supercharged V8, it features many high-tech components. 3D scanning, CAD, 3D printing and CNC machining were all used to produce various components.
Breaking this down, it was commissioned by a Belgian, who will take delivery after SEMA. Which one’s your favourite?.
